ABOUT HOT CHOCOLATE PARTY PRODUCTIONS
Hot Chocolate Party Productions, founded in 2008 by Michael Yanoska, Brian Kiely, Cory Jones, and Dane Schrader, has grown from a collection of silly home videos into a successful video production company, with over 2.5 million views of their comedy videos on YouTube and a well-established international fanbase. Learn a little more about how the Party began here.
Hot Chocolate Party Productions began in April 2008 with a Spanish class final project, "El Reino de la Corrupcion." That summer began the tradition of HCP music videos, parodying songs such as The Beatles' "Help!" and Muse's "Knights of Cydonia." This continued for a couple months until HCP caught the public eye with their parodies of "The Office." With a big cast comprised of many look-alikes, HCP's "Office" parodies earned recognition on the #1 Office fansite, OfficeTally.com, as well as a retweet of the series from Dwight Schrute himself, Mr. Rainn Wilson. The following summer, the crew made one of their best videos yet, "More Than A Feeling," for the 2009 Pepsi Rock Band Music Video contest. The entry earned HCP recognition on RockBand.com, Facebook, and Twitter, and ultimately gave the crew an "Honorable Mention" award. From there, HCP continued on expanding their portfolio, including original comedy series and a comedy-rap duo, "London Style," and their hit songs "Cruisin' (The Tom Cruise Rap)" and "This Is A Song About Respecting Women."June 2010 saw HCP release a fan video to Maroon 5's hit single "Misery." The video received 80,000 views in its first week, was featured on Entertainment Weekly's website, and was even seen by the band themselves. Two months later, the boys eagerly released a sequel, "Give A Little More," which was subsequently featured on Maroon 5's official websites, and even got the attention of the band's label.Since then, Hot Chocolate Party has done two videos for A&M/Octone Records, including Maroon 5's "Stutter" and Hollywood Undead's "Gangsta Sexy." Their highly-acclaimed Maroon 5 series has earned over 1.6 million views on YouTube. With the crew off at college now, the masterminds behind HCP are looking to expand their ambition to bigger projects, bigger audiences, and bigger recognition. What's next? Who knows, stay tuned and find out. Thanks for watching. // HCP
